The Goonies is a side view action game released for MS-DOS and arcade systems in 1986. It was developed and published by Konami Industry Co. Ltd. The game is an adaptation of the 1985 film of the same name.

Players control Mikey, a member of the Goonies, who must locate a hidden pirate treasure to save his neighborhood from foreclosure. The objective is to progress through six distinct levels. To complete each area, Mikey must find three keys, which are often obtained by using bombs dropped by defeated enemies to blast open doors. Throughout the stages, players encounter various adversaries including rats, skeletons, and members of the criminal Fratelli gang. Gameplay involves navigating the environments, using a slingshot or kicks to defeat these enemies, and rescuing other captured Goonies found behind sealed doors.

Progression is structured around exploration and item collection. In addition to the required keys, players can gather diamonds and other valuables scattered in the levels for bonus points. Power ups are also concealed behind destructible doors, providing assistance during the adventure. The game challenges players to manage these tasks while avoiding hazards and opponents within a time limit.
