I remember playing Superman Games: Metropolis Defenders on Flash Classic back in the day. It was one of those browser games you could jump into quickly, and I think it was published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The game fit right into that era of simple, accessible online games, where you didn't need a powerful computer to have some fun.

You control Superman, flying over the city to protect it from an incoming meteor shower. Your main goal is to smash the meteors before they crash into the buildings below. You have to be careful, though, because some of the meteors are green Kryptonite; touching them weakens you and makes you lose health. The gameplay involves navigating screen by screen, using Superman's flight and punches to break apart the rocks while managing your proximity to the dangerous ones. It gets pretty fast paced as more meteors fall, and the difficulty ramps up as you try to keep the city intact. The feeling of weaving through the sky, punching apart threats while dodging the green rocks, is straightforward and satisfying.
