Players control a variety of aircraft with the primary objective of executing complex stunts. The game offers two main modes of play. One path involves following the guidance of an in-game Stunt Coordinator, who presents a sequence of 32 predefined stunt challenges that gradually increase in difficulty. These tasks range from maneuvers like flying through a barn structure to navigating narrow canyon passes and attempting to land on a moving train. Alternatively, players can engage in a freeform mode where they design their own stunts and use the game's built-in tools to record and edit them into short films. A central progression system is the Stunt Pilot of the Year competition, where successful completion and skillful performance in stunts contribute to improving the player's ranking.
