The player navigates the world from a first-person perspective, engaging in combat against The Order's forces using an arsenal of projectile and energy weapons. Progression is not strictly linear; instead, the game world is largely continuous, centered around a town hub. From this hub, the player accepts missions, explores environments, and interacts with non-hostile characters.
