Street Racer is a racing game released in 1997 for the MS-DOS platform. It was developed by Vivid Image and published by Ubi Soft Entertainment Software. The game presents a behind-view perspective and features a roster of nine characters, with one requiring unlocking, who compete across eight distinct tracks.

Players select a driver and their associated vehicle to compete in various race events. The primary Championship mode consists of a series of races with escalating difficulty, progressing through Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum tiers. Alternatively, players can configure a Custom Championship by choosing specific tracks and settings. Other options include direct head-to-head races against a computer opponent and practice sessions. Each of the eight vehicles possesses unique attributes affecting speed, acceleration, and durability, and power-ups such as bombs, nitro boosts, and health packs can be collected on the tracks during races.

A notable mode separate from standard racing is the Rumble mode. In this mode, all eight drivers start in a circular arena with a destructible outer boundary. The objective is to be the last vehicle remaining by eliminating opponents. Elimination is achieved using each car's built-in weapons and abilities or by physically knocking other cars out of the arena. These combat mechanics are also integrated into the standard race mode. Instead of collecting temporary weapon pickups, each vehicle has its own unique, rechargeable offensive capability. For instance, one character's car can deploy bat wings to gain flight. This system adds a layer of strategic combat to the racing gameplay.
