Okay, so Star Wars: Flight of the Falcon on the GBA is basically you cramming the entire Han Solo fantasy into a tiny cartridge. You jump straight into the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon—no tutorial, just blasters and a very angry swarm of TIE fighters coming at you. The controls take a second to click (hold L to barrel roll, because of course you barrel roll), but once they do, it’s pure chaos in the best way.
The sprite work’s surprisingly decent for a GBA game—you get these chunky, colorful explosions when you nail a shot, and the Falcon actually feels heavy, like you’re wrestling with a hunk of junk instead of some nimble fighter. Missions flip between escort duty and all-out dogfights, and yeah, you’ll groan when another Star Destroyer warps in. But blasting its turrets never gets old.
It’s not perfect—the music loops get repetitive, and some levels feel like they drag—but for a portable Star Wars fix? Solid. You’ll probably finish it in a weekend, grinning the whole time.
