About Star Wars - The New Droid Army (e)(patience)
Star Wars: The New Droid Army came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2002, published by THQ. It was one of many action games on the system, arriving when portable Star Wars titles were becoming more common. You step into the boots of Anakin Skywalker, sent to investigate a Separatist plot to create droids that are invulnerable to lightsabers.
You control Anakin through side scrolling levels, using your lightsaber for close combat and a blaster for distant enemies. The main goal is to stop the droid army by fighting through waves of battle droids and exploring areas screen by screen. Key mechanics include deflecting blaster bolts back at foes and using Force powers like Push to solve environmental puzzles. The game moves at a brisk pace, though some sections can feel repetitive with similar enemy encounters. It captures the feeling of being a Jedi in the middle of a chaotic battle.
