Star Wars: Flight of the Falcon on the GBA is exactly what it sounds like—you’re in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon (and a few other ships), blasting TIE fighters and dodging asteroids. The Mode7-style graphics give it that pseudo-3D feel, which was pretty slick for a handheld at the time.
First mission? Classic Star Wars stuff—you’re weaving through a debris field while Imperial fighters swarm you. The controls take a second to get used to, but once you do, pulling off tight turns between asteroids feels surprisingly satisfying. And yeah, the Falcon handles like a brick compared to an X-wing, but that just makes nailing shots even more rewarding.
It’s not the deepest shooter out there, but if you just want to live out that Han Solo fantasy for a bit, it does the job. The music’s got those familiar Star Wars hooks too, which helps sell the whole thing.
