Space Jam is a basketball video game released in 1996 for the MS-DOS platform. Developed by Sculptured Software and published by Acclaim Entertainment, it is a third-person sports title based on the animated film of the same name. Players can control either the Looney Tunes characters, who are joined by Michael Jordan, or the opposing Monstars team in a series of basketball matches.

The core gameplay involves basketball matches played in two-on-two or three-on-three formats. Players directly control their chosen character on the court, with the objective of outscoring the opposing team. Progression in the game is structured around the Intergalactic Tournament, a sequence of five consecutive matches that serves as the primary single-player mode, though it can also be played with others. Alongside the basketball games, there are approximately five minigames, such as locating Michael Jordan's gear or participating in a top-down vehicle race. Successfully completing these minigames improves a character's core attributes—Speed, Shooting, and Rebounds—for use in the main matches. Characters also possess a stamina-like statistic that depletes during play, affecting their performance, which can be replenished through actions like slam dunks.

Multiplayer functionality is a significant component of Space Jam. The game supports traditional two-player versus matches, with one player controlling the Tunes and the other the Monstars. It also includes cooperative modes where two or three players can join together on the same team. Using additional hardware adapters, players can engage in full three-on-three games. The roster includes numerous characters from the film, such as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Lola Bunny for the Tunes, and Pound, Bupkus, and Bang for the Monstars. The game does not feature a save system or narrative progression, presenting instead an arcade-style experience focused on immediate matches and minigames.
