Sonic – Westside Island Game

Okay, so this is one of those lesser-known Sonic hacks—Westside Island takes the classic Sonic 2 formula but remixes the zones with new layouts and some tweaked mechanics. You still get that familiar speed rush, but the level designs throw in a few surprises, like alternate paths that actually matter and some sneaky enemy placements.
First thing you’ll notice? The colors are a bit off—not bad, just different. And the music’s been swapped with some remixed tracks that kinda slap, honestly. The physics feel close to the original, though I swear the spin dash is a tiny bit slower. Still, it’s a solid romhack if you’ve burned through the official games too many times and want something fresh without being totally unfamiliar.
Just don’t expect a full-blown new game—it’s more like a fun alternate version of Sonic 2 with some rough edges.
