Sonic Thrash Game

Ever wanted to see Sonic the Hedgehog absolutely wreck stuff? That’s pretty much the whole vibe of Sonic Thrash on the Genesis. It’s not your typical speedrun-and-rings affair—this one’s all about smashing through obstacles like a blue wrecking ball. The controls are simple, but nailing the timing to plow through walls or bounce off enemies takes a little practice. The music’s got that classic Sega crunch, too.
First time I played, I just held right and mashed buttons, which… didn’t end well. Turns out you actually need to watch for openings, or you’ll eat a faceful of spikes. Still, when you pull off a clean run, it’s stupidly satisfying. Definitely one of those "just one more try" games.
