Sonic The Hedgehog – Tribute Game

So, this is basically a fan-made love letter to the original Sonic the Hedgehog on Sega Genesis. It's got all the speed, loops, and chaos of the classic game, but with some extra polish and a few tweaks that make it feel fresh without losing that nostalgic kick.
You start off blasting through Green Hill Zone—because where else would you start?—and it just feels right. The physics are tight, the music’s still that same earworm, and those little tweaks? They’re subtle, like smoother sprite animations or slightly tweaked level layouts. Not a full remake, just a really well-done remix.
If you’ve ever played the original, you’ll recognize everything instantly, but it’s got enough small surprises to keep you from just coasting on muscle memory. Definitely worth a spin if you miss that old-school Sonic rush.
