Sonic The Hedgehog – Omochao Editi Game

Okay, so this is a weird one—Sonic the Hedgehog but with Omochao, that little floating robot sidekick from later games, just plopped into the original Genesis classic. It’s basically the same Blue Blur speedfest you remember, except now Omochao chimes in with random (and honestly kinda unnecessary) tips while you’re trying to blaze through Green Hill Zone. Like, yeah, thanks, I know how to spin dash, little guy.
Weirdly, it kinda grows on you? The physics feel identical to the original, which is great, but the whole thing has this bizarre charm—like someone modded in a cheerful backseat driver who won’t shut up. If you’ve played Sonic to death, it’s a fun little twist. If you haven’t… maybe start with the real deal first.
Also, the sprite work for Omochao is actually pretty solid—no janky pixels, just a smooth little orb bouncing alongside Sonic like he belongs there all along.
