This Extended Edition takes that classic and cranks it up—new levels, tweaked physics, and some extra chaos emeralds hidden in places you wouldn’t expect. The first time I played, I thought I knew all the shortcuts, but nope—there’s a whole new path in Marble Zone that dumps you straight into a boss fight if you’re not careful.

It still feels like the Sonic you remember, just... more. The sprites are a little sharper, the music’s got some extra punch, and those special stages? Way harder now. I spent way too long trying to get the hang of the new rotation mechanics. Still worth it when you finally snag that last emerald, though.
