Alright, so Sonic 2—this is the one where Tails finally shows up, and honestly, it’s a huge upgrade from the first game. You’ve got these massive, winding levels with loops, corkscrews, and hidden paths everywhere. The first time you hit Chemical Plant Zone and that bassline kicks in? Perfect.

You’re still speeding through, bouncing off badniks, and collecting rings like your life depends on it (because it kinda does). But now you’ve got Tails either following you around or a buddy can take control if you’re playing co-op. Just don’t let him drown in Hydrocity—I’ve lost count of how many times that fox has cost me a life.

Robotnik’s up to his usual nonsense, turning cute animals into robots, and it’s your job to wreck his machines and free them. The boss fights are way more creative this time, especially that Death Egg finale. Still hate those underwater sections, though.
