Sonic – Omg The Red Rings Game

Okay, so this is one of those weird Sonic ROM hacks—you know, the kind where someone tweaks the original game just enough to make it feel fresh but not totally unrecognizable. This one's all about those red rings. They're everywhere, tucked into spots where you'd normally find regular rings, and grabbing them feels oddly satisfying even though I'm still not entirely sure what they do.
It's still classic Genesis Sonic—same speed, same loops, same "why did I just bounce off that enemy into a pit?" moments—but now there's this extra layer of "wait, was that ring always red?" Makes you second-guess muscle memory. The physics feel a little off in places, but honestly, that just adds to the charm. If you've played the original to death, this might be just the thing to mess with your head for an hour or two.
Just don't expect a full-blown overhaul—it's more like someone took a red marker to Sonic's world and called it a day.
