Sonic And The Secret Extended Edition (v4.2) Game

Okay, so this is one of those fan-made Sonic hacks that actually feels like a legit Sega release. It's built on the original Sonic 1 engine but with way more levels, some new mechanics, and even a few surprises if you explore off the main path.
First thing you'll notice is how smooth it plays—none of that janky physics you get with some ROM hacks. The new zones mix classic Sonic speed with some clever platforming sections that actually make you think before just blasting through. I got stuck for a solid five minutes on this one underwater puzzle near the end of the first act.
They also added a bunch of little tweaks, like being able to roll downhill faster and some new enemy types that actually change up how you approach certain sections. The music’s a mix of remixed classics and original tracks that somehow don’t feel out of place.
If you’ve burned through the official Sonic games too many times, this one’s worth a download.
