Sonic 1 Megahack – Ultra Editi Game

So, Sonic 1 Megahack – Ultra Edition is basically the classic Genesis game, but someone went wild with the mod tools and crammed in a ton of ridiculous tweaks. You still speed through Green Hill Zone, but now there are weird character swaps, glitchy-but-fun physics tweaks, and some levels that feel like they were designed by a caffeinated fan.
First time I booted it up, I accidentally picked Knuckles (who definitely wasn’t in the original) and immediately got stuck in a loop because his glide breaks some of the platforming. Classic mod chaos. Some of the changes are actually clever—like hidden shortcuts or remixed enemy placements—while others just make you laugh at how broken they are.
If you’ve played Sonic 1 to death, this is the kind of janky, unpredictable version that keeps it weirdly entertaining. Just don’t expect it to feel polished.
