SimFarm is a managerial simulation game released in 1993 for MS-DOS. Developed by Leaping Lizard Software and published by Maxis Software Inc., the game presents a top-down view where players control and manage a virtual agricultural operation. The simulation integrates farm management with the dynamics of a nearby town, creating a complex environment for players to oversee.

Players begin by selecting a farm location, choosing from nine predefined areas in the United States with distinct regional climates or designing a custom climate by setting parameters for wind, rainfall, and temperature. The core gameplay involves cultivating one of 24 different crop varieties, each with specific requirements for water, temperature, and maturity cycles, while also managing resistance to pests, weeds, and diseases. To operate the farm, players must acquire and maintain essential equipment such as tractors, planters, plows, harvesters, trucks, and trailers, which are stored in various structures. Revenue is primarily generated from selling harvested crops, and players can also buy and sell livestock, including animals that have specific food and water needs and can breed to increase their numbers.

The game features a simulated town that players can occasionally influence by making suggestions, such as proposing the construction of an airport, which then unlocks the ability to use a crop duster aircraft. Players may also enter livestock competitions within the town. The farm's homestead, where the player resides, can be expanded at the start of each in-game year if sufficient profit was earned previously. Weather systems and seasonal changes affect farm operations, adding another layer to the simulation. The original game package included supplementary educational materials, such as a teacher's guide and a user manual, alongside the standard game documentation.
