Silent Shadow is a side-view scrolling shooter released in 1991 for the MS-DOS platform. Developed and published by Topo Soft, the game places players in control of a small, advanced fighter aircraft. The core objective is to escort a large allied bomber safely across hostile territory to its target in the Persian Gulf, where it can then destroy an enemy fleet.

The player pilots a sophisticated fighter jet, managing its speed and position relative to the bomber it must protect. Progression is structured across four distinct phases: an enemy airbase, a city, a desert, and finally the enemy fleet itself. A key gameplay system involves maintaining a careful distance from the bomber; straying too far leaves the player vulnerable to enemy fire, while getting too close risks a collision. The fighter is equipped with a special ability to create false images on enemy radar, aiding in stealth. Players can collect expansionary power-ups that eliminate all on-screen enemies. The game also supports a cooperative mode for two players, with each controlling their own fighter craft.
