Ever wondered what Sonic 2 would be like if Sally Acorn from the old SatAM cartoon showed up? Yeah, me too—and someone actually made a ROM hack for it. You play as Sally instead of Sonic or Tails, complete with her own (slightly janky) sprite and animations. She doesn’t feel as polished as the original characters, but it’s a weirdly fun novelty if you grew up with the cartoon.

The levels are the same as vanilla Sonic 2, so no surprises there, but seeing Sally spin-dash through Chemical Plant Zone is just… surreal. The physics feel a little off, like she’s lighter than Sonic, but after a few minutes you get used to it. Definitely more of a curiosity than a must-play, but hey, it exists.
