I picked up Randy Cunningham Saves Norrisville High when it was part of the Classic Games on Mobile collection. It was developed by Backflip Studios, I believe, and it really takes me back to that era of straightforward mobile platformers. You don't get many games like this anymore, where the goal is simple and the action is constant.

You control Randy, the ninth grade ninja, running and jumping through the halls and rooftops of the high school. Your main job is to fight off waves of robot enemies using your ninja sword. The game is broken into distinct screen by screen areas that you clear of all enemies before moving on. You also collect coins and power ups, like a temporary shield or a screen clearing bomb, to help you survive. The pacing is pretty fast, and the difficulty ramps up quickly, demanding quick reflexes to dodge attacks and counter. It feels like a frantic scramble to keep the school safe.
