ROX is a top-down arcade game released in 1993 for MS-DOS. It is a science fiction themed title that functions as a variant of the classic Asteroids formula, placing the player in control of a lone spacecraft.

The player pilots a ship that can turn, accelerate, and fire a forward-facing laser. The primary objective is to survive by destroying asteroids and hostile spacecraft that appear in the playfield. The game world wraps around both horizontally and vertically, meaning objects that move off one edge of the screen reappear from the opposite side. Players begin with three lives and have access to unlimited ammunition for their laser, as well as an emergency warp ability to escape dangerous situations. Enemy ships periodically enter the arena to attack, adding another threat alongside the drifting asteroids. Successfully clearing all asteroids from an area will cause a new wave to spawn from off-screen.

Progress is measured by survival time and score. If a player's ship is destroyed by colliding with an asteroid or enemy fire, they lose a life. A session ends when all lives are lost. High-performing players are recorded in a Hall of Fame list, and certain statistics from a completed game are displayed at the start of the next session.
