Pushover is a puzzle game released in 1992 for MS-DOS systems. It was developed by Red Rat Software Ltd and published by Ocean Software Ltd. The game presents its challenges from a side view perspective, placing the player in control of an ant on a mission to retrieve cookies for a friend.

The player guides the ant through a series of levels set within an anthill. The primary objective is to locate and collect bags of cookies scattered in different areas. Progression is structured around discrete levels, each presenting a unique arrangement of blocks and boulders that must be manipulated. The core gameplay involves pushing colored blocks with distinct properties to create chain reactions. For instance, yellow bricks can be pushed and will topple others in a line, while red bricks react in the opposite direction when struck. Some blocks explode on impact to clear a path, others spin continuously, and some can function as bridging elements or attach to ceilings.

Movement is controlled with arrow keys or a joystick, and the game operates under a time limit, requiring puzzles to be solved with some urgency. Each successfully completed level provides a password, allowing players to resume their progress from that point. The challenge lies in analyzing the layout and physical properties of the blocks to set off the correct sequence of falls, ultimately toppling a specific end block to open the exit door. A misstep, such as a fall from too great a height, results in failure and requires the level to be restarted.
