The player controls a soldier navigating through a series of scenarios that mirror the film's plot. The experience begins with a side scrolling jungle section where the character can move horizontally and vertically, jumping or ducking to avoid hazards. Objectives in this part include destroying a bridge and locating specific items such as a torch and a map within a village, while contending with enemy soldiers and airstrikes. The gameplay then shifts to a first person perspective for exploring a network of tunnels, where the player must search for items like flares and a compass. Control methods change contextually during these segments, with one mode dedicated to precise targeting when enemies are encountered.

Later sections involve defending a bunker overnight using a limited supply of flares to detect approaching enemies before engaging them. Another sequence requires the player to navigate to a safe position within a strict time limit during a jungle airstrike, using the previously acquired compass for direction. The game culminates in a confrontation where the player, positioned in a foxhole, must hit a specific enemy character with grenades a set number of times to survive and complete the mission.
