Paragliding is a flight simulation game released in 1991 for the MS-DOS platform. Players control a paraglider pilot, managing the basic actions of taking off, navigating using air currents and clouds, and landing. The game is structured into distinct modes that cater to different skill levels and objectives. In Practice mode, players complete exercises to train in these core flight mechanics. Stroll mode allows for free exploration of four scenic locations, which include an Arabic Desert, the Green Alps, Snow Mountains, and an American Canyon, where players can learn the positions of flags, balloons, and the terrain layout without time pressure.

For more structured challenges, the Competition mode lets players select a pilot from one of eight nations and attempt to achieve a high score by collecting flags and balloons within a time limit. The game also features a Championship mode that supports up to four players competing against each other in a series of sequential events testing speed, precision, and technique. Throughout all modes, gameplay involves navigating around both static and dynamic obstacles while managing flight. High scores for these activities are recorded in a dedicated table.
