I first played Pac on Flash Classic, a browser release from the early 2000s. It was a simple arcade game, originally developed by Namco, that captured the straightforward fun of that platform era. You control a yellow character with a large mouth, navigating a maze filled with orange dots.

Your goal is to eat every dot on the screen while avoiding the four colored ghosts that patrol the corridors. The signature mechanics involve eating larger Power Pellets, which temporarily turn the ghosts blue and vulnerable, allowing you to chase and eat them for extra points. You also use the four tunnels on the sides of the screen to warp from one side of the maze to the other, escaping tight situations. The pacing is relentless; the ghosts become more aggressive as you clear levels, and the difficulty increases steadily. It feels like a constant, tense race against time and unpredictable enemy patterns.
