Obliterator is a science fiction action platformer released for MS-DOS in 1989. It was developed and published by Psygnosis Limited. The game is presented from a side view perspective and features a futuristic setting.

The player controls Drak, a genetically enhanced machine known as an Obliterator, on a mission to save the Federation from an alien threat. The primary objective is to infiltrate an alien spacecraft, disable its key systems including weapons, plasma drives, and shields, and then escape. Progression occurs through a series of static, non-scrolling screens that form interconnected, maze-like environments requiring exploration. Players navigate these areas, searching for specific locations and items to advance the mission.

Gameplay involves platforming movement and combat using a variety of weapons obtained throughout the mission. The structure is mission-based, with the player systematically targeting the spacecraft's critical subsystems. An optional setting allows for scrolling transitions between the otherwise fixed screens. The challenge stems from navigating the complex level layouts and engaging with the obstacles and enemies encountered within the alien vessel.
