Noctropolis is a detective and mystery adventure game released in 1994 for the MS-DOS platform. It was developed by Flashpoint Productions and published by Electronic Arts, Inc. The game is presented from a third-person perspective and follows the story of Peter Grey, a bookstore owner and fan of a comic book series called Darksheer.

Players control Peter Grey, who is unexpectedly transported into the fictional, perpetually dark city of Noctropolis. Upon arrival, he assumes the role of the missing superhero Darksheer. His primary objectives are to investigate the mysterious release of five dangerous villains, prevent them from causing chaos in the city, and find a way to return to his own world. Progression is driven by advancing the story through interaction and puzzle-solving.

Gameplay involves interacting with characters and examining objects within the environment. Players use a verb-based menu interface, accessed by right-clicking on the screen, to perform actions and combine inventory items to solve puzzles. The game incorporates full-motion video, with live actors filmed over digitized backgrounds. Many character conversations and story sequences are presented as short video clips displayed within a smaller frame on the screen.
