About Network Q Rac Rally Championship
Network Q RAC Rally Championship is a rally racing simulation released in 1996 for the MS-DOS platform. It was developed by Magnetic Fields and published by Software 2000. The game presents a first-person driving perspective and is based on the real-world RAC Rally championship.
Players control one of six licensed rally cars, including models like the Proton Wira and a Skoda, across a selection of 28 different stages. The primary objective is to complete each timed stage as quickly as possible. The tracks are re-creations of real RAC Rally routes and feature dynamically changing road surfaces, such as tarmac and mud, which directly affect vehicle handling. Weather conditions also shift during events, transitioning between rain, sunshine, and snow, adding another variable to the driving challenge.
Progression involves competing through the championship events. The core gameplay systems focus on precise vehicle control across varied terrain and adapting to the changing environmental conditions. An online multiplayer mode was also available, allowing players to compete against others directly.
