Mystic Towers is an action game with puzzle solving and role playing elements, released in 1994 for MS-DOS. Developed by Animation FX and published by Apogee Software, Ltd., it is a follow up to the earlier title Baron Baldric: A Grave Adventure. Players control the eccentric wizard Baron Baldric as he attempts to clear monsters from the twelve Towers of Lazarine.

The player guides Baldric through isometric environments across twelve towers, each structured with five floors containing nine rooms each. The primary objective in every tower is to defeat all fifteen monsters, deactivate a central monster generator, and then find an exit. Gameplay involves navigating rooms, engaging in action based combat with various monsters, avoiding environmental obstacles, and collecting items. Progression often depends on using collected items to solve puzzles, such as unlocking new areas, while other items tie into the game's role playing systems. The game also tracks food and drink meters alongside health, requiring the player to regularly find consumables to sustain the character.

Combat and exploration are facilitated by a system of ten spells. Five are damage dealing spells used against monsters, including Ice, Sulfur, Venom Cloud, Fireball, and Lightning, with only the Ice spell having unlimited uses. The other five are utility spells: Reveal to illuminate dark rooms and expose hidden objects, Heal to restore health and cure poison, Teleport for moving between specific pads, Levitate to float above the ground, and Bomb which is used exclusively to destroy monster generators. Spells can be found throughout the towers, and the damage spells can also be purchased from vending machines. Baldric collects treasure points during his adventure, which can grant extra lives. Some monsters within the towers can also cast spells, including ones that poison or quickly defeat the player character.
