Progression through the game involves careful management of these systems. The acquired weapons require a charging period before they can be used to eliminate the mutant penguins. Players must also exercise caution during combat, as these weapons can inadvertently harm the friendly regular penguins if aimed carelessly. The structure revolves around completing each maze-like stage by balancing the protective escort of the regular penguins with the strategic obstruction and elimination of the mutant ones, using the items and traps secured through gremlin collection.
