Monster Bash II is a horror themed platform game released in 1993 for MS-DOS systems. It was developed and published by Apogee Software, Ltd. The game is presented from a third person perspective and is structured across three distinct episodes.

The player controls a character named Johnny, who navigates through a series of levels armed with a slingshot. The primary objective in each stage is to locate and break the locks on pet cages to free the captured animals; a level cannot be completed until every pet is rescued. Progression follows a traditional platformer structure where the player must overcome environmental obstacles and enemies to advance. Each episode concludes with a boss encounter that must be defeated to proceed to the next set of levels. The game features a total of twenty eight levels, which include standard stages as well as specific boss and miniboss fights. Player health is fully restored at the start of each new level, though any temporary power ups collected are lost.

Gameplay involves interacting with various objects in the environment to solve puzzles and traverse the stages. These objects include spring loaded furniture for reaching higher areas, deployable ladders, and, in one level, a flying broomstick that alters movement mechanics. The player manages a limited number of save slots per episode, with saved games returning the player to the beginning of a level upon loading. A notable feature is the inclusion of context specific hints accessible during gameplay, which provide guidance on level objectives and mechanics.
