Okay, so Mixels Games: Cragsters is this weirdly satisfying little Flash game where you play as these rock-like creatures who just love to dig. Like, obsessively. You pick between Krader, Seismo, or Shuff—each has slightly different moves, though I usually go with Seismo because his tremor thing helps knock loose rocks out of the way faster.

At first it’s just tunneling downward, smashing through dirt and avoiding the occasional boulder, but then those annoying Nixels show up and start messing with your tunnels. Sometimes you’ll hit a pocket of gems or a weird underground mushroom that gives you a speed boost, which is great until you accidentally dig straight into a spike trap. The deeper you go, the weirder the obstacles get—lava pockets, crumbling platforms, the works.

It’s simple, but there’s something about the chunky digging sounds and the way the screen shakes when you hit something hard that makes it weirdly addictive. Just don’t blame me when you realize you’ve been tunneling for half an hour straight.
