Menzoberranzan is a first-person role-playing game released in 1994 for MS-DOS. Developed by DreamForge Intertainment and published by Strategic Simulations, Inc., it is based on the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons ruleset. The game is set in the fantasy world of the Forgotten Realms and utilizes the same game engine as Ravenloft: Strahd's Possession.

The player controls a party of adventurers, beginning with two characters who have recently returned from a conflict in Icewind Dale. The narrative starts when a drow raid attacks their village, taking hostages and setting the party on a quest that leads to the subterranean city of Menzoberranzan. Up to two additional characters can be recruited during the journey, including established figures from R.A. Salvatore's novels such as Drizzt Do'Urden and his panther companion, Guenhwyvar. The primary objective involves rescuing the captured villagers, which requires navigating through various environments and confronting numerous foes.

Gameplay is conducted in real time, with combat initiated by selecting attack options and clicking on enemies to direct the party's actions. Progression is structured around exploration, dialogue with non-player characters, and completing quests that advance the story. The game integrates core AD&D mechanics for character creation, inventory management, and resolving combat encounters, providing a framework for tactical party management as players delve deeper into the narrative.
