MegaTraveller 1: The Zhodani Conspiracy is a science fiction role playing game released for MS DOS in 1990, developed and published by Paragon Software Corporation. It is based on the MegaTraveller tabletop game setting. The game presents a scenario where the player must work to prevent a war between the Zhodani Consulate and the Imperium, a conflict being secretly engineered through bribery and conspiracy.

Gameplay begins with character creation, where players either generate new characters or select from a predefined roster to form a squad of five. These characters can be assigned to one of five military career paths, which semi randomly determine the skills and experience they gain from a pool of over seventy distinct talents and abilities. The game world consists of twenty eight planets spread across eight solar systems, offering numerous locations for adventure. A trading system is present, featuring thirty different types of cargo that players can buy, sell, and barter between planets.

Players direct their squad from a top down perspective, exploring planets and engaging with the narrative to uncover the conspiracy. Combat occurs in real time, allowing direct control of one character while issuing orders to the other squad members. Progression involves navigating the star systems, managing resources, developing character skills, and completing missions that advance the central plot to thwart the impending war.
