Mario is Missing! is an educational video game released in 1992 for the MS-DOS platform. Developed and published by The Software Toolworks, Inc., the title presents a side-view perspective and is structured around teaching geography. The narrative involves the series antagonist Bowser establishing a base in Antarctica and creating portals to disrupt various global locations.

In the game, the player controls Luigi, who must navigate through portals to 25 different cities worldwide. The primary objective is to locate Koopa Troopas that have stolen famous artifacts from each location. Gameplay involves exploring city streets, interacting with non-player characters to gather clues about the player's current city and the missing items, and eventually returning each artifact to its correct place. Progression is achieved by successfully identifying the city based on collected clues, then using a device called a Globulator to summon Yoshi, who assists in overcoming an obstacle guarding the return portal.

The educational component is integrated through the depiction of real-world cities, their landmarks, and cultural artifacts. As Luigi returns stolen items, the player can view photographs and information about them. The game's structure is mission-based, with each city representing a self-contained puzzle to solve. An optional add-on disk was made available, which expanded the game by including ten additional cities to explore.
