Mario Andretti Racing Game

Mario Andretti Racing on the Sega Genesis is one of those racers that feels simple at first—just pick a car, hit the gas, and try not to spin out on the turns. But after a few laps, you start noticing the little things, like how each track has its own quirks (that desert one loves to kick up dust clouds) or how the AI drivers actually get pretty aggressive if you nudge them too much.
It’s not as flashy as some other racing games from that era, but there’s something satisfying about the way the cars handle—they’ve got weight to them, and you really feel it when you take a corner too fast. And yeah, the name’s a bit of a mislead since Mario Andretti’s just the cover star, not an actual character in the game. Still, if you’re into old-school arcade-style racing without a ton of frills, this one’s a solid pick.
