Magic Pockets is a platform and shooter game released in 1992 for the MS-Dos platform. It was developed by The Bitmap Brothers and published by Konami, Inc. The game presents a side view perspective as players guide the protagonist, known as the Bitmap Kid, through a series of environments.

In the game, players control the Bitmap Kid, whose objective is to recover a collection of toys stolen by various creatures. The adventure is structured across four distinct areas: Cave, Jungle, River, and Mountain. Each area is divided into multiple stages, culminating in a unique bonus stage. The goal of these bonus stages is to outperform the creatures in a specific challenge, such as a bike race, to retrieve a corresponding toy. Progression involves navigating side scrolling environments while utilizing standard platforming abilities like walking and jumping.

The gameplay integrates shooter mechanics, as the Bitmap Kid can hurl collected items to defeat foes. His weapon can be charged to inflict greater damage, and its visual form and functionality adapt to the requirements of each world. Beyond basic movement, the character possesses special athletic abilities. He can perform high jumps by interacting with whirlwinds and can eliminate enemies by landing on them from a significant height. Throughout the journey, the Bitmap Kid also gains access to temporary vehicles and power ups, such as a bike for racing, diving gear, and items that enable flight, adding variety to the exploration and combat.
