MDK is a science fiction shooter released in 1997 for MS-DOS. Developed by Shiny Entertainment and published by Playmates Interactive Entertainment, the game is presented from a first person perspective and follows a narrative involving an inventor, a reluctant janitor, and a robotic dog confronting an alien invasion.

Players control Kurt Hectic, a janitor outfitted with a specialized Coil Suit. The primary objective is to infiltrate and destroy massive alien fortress-cities known as Minecrawlers from the inside. Gameplay involves navigating through the interior and exterior structures of these vessels, utilizing a chaingun for standard combat and a sniper rifle mode for targeting distant enemies. A key movement mechanic is the suit's retractable ribbon chute, which allows for parachute descents and gliding between platforms, adding a layer of vertical exploration and positioning to the missions.

Progression is structured around a series of discrete levels, each representing a different Minecrawler to dismantle. The player advances by fighting through hordes of alien enemies to reach and eliminate the core driver of each fortress. This culminates in a final confrontation with the leader of the invasion. The game concludes after this sequence, resolving the central conflict of the story.
