Play Locomotion Online

Locomotion is a puzzle game released in 1992 for MS-DOS. It was developed by Prestige Softwareentwicklung GmbH and published by Kingsoft GmbH. The game presents a top-down view of railway networks where the player manages train traffic to prevent collisions.

Players control a cursor to interact with track junctions, clicking to toggle their positions and alter the paths of moving trains. The primary objective is to guide multiple trains from their starting stations to their correct destinations without allowing any crashes. Each level features a unique railway layout with several stations, and trains appear at random intervals from flashing stations, each marked with a letter indicating its required endpoint. Gameplay involves constant monitoring of train positions, timely switching of junctions to create clear routes, and rerouting trains that head toward incorrect stations, as they will simply reverse direction and continue moving. The core systems are junction manipulation, route planning to avoid train-on-train contact, and matching trains to their designated stations under increasing complexity.
