Lion is a simulation game released in 1995 for the MS-DOS platform. Developed by Manley & Associates, Inc. and published by Sanctuary Woods Multimedia Corporation, it presents a top-down perspective of life on the African savanna. The game focuses on the behaviors and social structures of lions within the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania.

Players assume control of a lion, selecting from a pool of twenty different animals with distinct attributes. These lions can be part of existing prides or groups assembled by the player. Control can be directed at a single animal or extended to all members of a pride. The game offers two primary modes of play. One is a mission-based structure featuring twenty specific objectives, such as surviving for a set period. The other is a free-form simulation mode that allows unrestricted exploration and activity within the game world.

The entire game is set across the savannas and plains of the Serengeti, which are depicted in four different seasonal variations. Core gameplay involves managing the pride, hunting for food, and navigating the environmental challenges presented by the habitat. An additional feature called Lion Safari provides an interactive, educational tour that illustrates various aspects of lion life and ecology within the Serengeti setting.
