About Lego Star Wars (u)(trashman)
I picked up the Game Boy Advance version of Lego Star Wars, a 2005 release from Traveller's Tales and published by Eidos Interactive. It arrived during the GBA's peak, when handhelds were packed with movie tie-ins and family friendly platformers. This one stood out for its blocky charm and straightforward approach to the Star Wars universe.
You control a series of Lego minifigures, mostly Jedi like Obi-Wan or Anakin, across levels based on Episodes I through III. Your main goal is to smash everything in sight, rebuild the scattered Lego pieces into new objects, and collect enough studs to buy extras. The gameplay is screen by screen exploration, with simple lightsaber combat against battle droids and occasional puzzle solving using the Force. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty stays light, making it easy to pick up and play in short bursts. It feels like a cheerful, uncomplicated run through the prequel trilogy.
