Legends is an action-adventure game released for MS-DOS in 1996. Developed by Krisalis Software Ltd. and published by Guildhall Leisure Services Ltd., it is a side-view game that blends fantasy, science fiction, and puzzle elements within its structure.

The player controls a series of characters from different historical eras, including an American Indian from 1400 AD, a medieval English knight, a Chinese warrior from Imperial China, and an ancient Egyptian acolyte. The core objective is to progress through each time period, defeating enemies and bosses to ultimately resolve a crisis. Gameplay involves exploring environments, collecting coins and objects to purchase items, and gathering hearts to increase the character's health, which is displayed on the top-left of the screen. Players switch between available weapons using designated keys, and non-player characters provide clues and level objectives to guide progression. Each era features specific challenges, such as mini-games, and concludes with a boss encounter.

Progression is structured linearly through distinct historical settings before culminating in a final segment aboard an alien spaceship. Upon completing a time period, the game provides a password that must be entered on the main screen to resume progress later, as the game does not feature an automatic save function during play. The narrative framework involves alien interference in Earth's history, with the player's incarnated characters working to restore order across the different epochs.
