About Leather Goddesses Of Phobos 2
Leather Goddesses of Phobos 2 is a science fiction point and click adventure game released for MS-DOS in 1992. Developed by Infocom and published by Activision, it serves as a sequel to the earlier text adventure Leather Goddesses of Phobos. The game is set in the year 1958, which is twenty two years after the events of the first title, and it shifts the gameplay from a text based interface to a graphical point and click format.
At the start of the game, the player selects one of three characters to control: Zeke, Lydia, or an alien named Barth. The primary objective is to travel to Planet X, the tenth planet in the solar system, and liberate its inhabitants from the control of the Leather Goddesses, who have enslaved the population. Progression is structured around navigating various environments, interacting with objects and characters, and solving puzzles to advance the narrative.
Gameplay involves exploring locations from a first person perspective, using a cursor to examine items, collect inventory objects, and engage in conversations with non player characters. The player must combine items and information logically to overcome obstacles. The adventure incorporates humor and science fiction themes throughout its puzzles and story scenarios, requiring the player to manage inventory and deduce solutions to progress through the game's world.
