LEGO Star Wars on the GBA is basically the best way to relive the original trilogy if you like your lightsaber fights with a side of goofy LEGO slapstick. You start off as Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan storming through the Trade Federation ship, and right away you notice how the blaster bolts look like little LEGO studs—that’s when it clicks that this isn’t just a reskin.
The controls are simple (jump, attack, switch characters), but the puzzles actually make you think a little—like using Force powers to stack bricks into bridges or smashing everything in sight to find hidden studs. Darth Maul’s double-bladed lightsaber looks ridiculous in LEGO form, and I mean that in the best way possible.
What’s cool is how they crammed all the big moments from Episode I to VI into this tiny cartridge. Sure, the graphics are pixelated, but watching a blocky Yoda wobble around Dagobah never gets old. If you’ve got a GBA and even a passing interest in Star Wars, this one’s a no-brainer.
