Lego Star Wars Ii - The Original Trilogy (u)(rising Sun) Game
📅 2006 ✍️ Traveller's Tales

LEGO Star Wars II on the GBA is basically the original trilogy crammed into your pocket—with all the charm and blocky chaos you'd expect. You start off as Luke on Tatooine smashing stuff (because what else do you do in LEGO games?), and before long you're swapping between Han, Leia, and even Chewie, who can rip arms off doors because... well, he's Chewie.
The controls are simple—jump, attack, build—but the real fun is in the little details. Stormtroopers explode into a shower of LEGO studs, and some puzzles actually make you think for a second (or just bash everything until it works). The humor’s there too—Darth Vader’s tiny LEGO cape flapping as he force-chokes someone never gets old.
It’s not perfect—the camera can be janky in tight spots, and the GBA’s tiny screen means you’ll squint at some pixelated blobs. But for a handheld adaptation, it nails the dumb, satisfying joy of smashing Star Wars into LEGO form. You’ll probably finish it in a weekend, but hey, sometimes that’s all you need.
