I picked up LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy for the Game Boy Advance back in 2006. It was developed by Traveller's Tales, and it felt like a natural fit for the handheld, a time when you could carry a chunk of the Star Wars universe in your pocket. This was the second LEGO Star Wars game, focusing entirely on A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi.

You control a variety of characters from the films, switching between them to solve simple puzzles and fight stormtroopers. The main goal is to progress through the story levels, which are broken into screen by screen areas you explore. Signature mechanics include building objects from scattered LEGO bricks to create bridges or vehicles, and using character specific abilities; for instance, Chewbacca can pull special handles while Jedi can use the Force on certain objects. The pacing is generally relaxed, and the difficulty is low, making it easy to just pick up and play. It feels like a light, playful interpretation of the movies you already know.
