Lego Star Wars Ii - The Original Trilogy (e)(rising Sun) Game
📅 2006 ✍️ Traveller's Tales

LEGO Star Wars II on the GBA is basically the Original Trilogy but with that goofy LEGO charm—stormtroopers exploding into little plastic studs, Han Solo's smirk looking even funnier in block form, and lightsaber duels that somehow feel both epic and ridiculous. You start off blasting through Tatooine as Luke, smashing everything in sight because, well, that's half the fun in these games. The controls are simple, but swapping between characters keeps things interesting—Chewie can pull levers, R2 opens doors, and yeah, you'll still get stuck occasionally trying to figure out which tiny object to interact with.
It's got that classic GBA look—chunky sprites, bright colors—and the music is just the right mix of John Williams and bleep-bloopy handheld nostalgia. Not gonna lie, some of the platforming bits can be janky, but blasting TIEs in the Death Star trench or taking down AT-ATs on Hoth makes up for it. If you played the console versions, this one's stripped down but still weirdly satisfying.
Also, Darth Vader in LEGO form will never not be funny.
