International Sports Challenge is a sports simulation game released in 1992 for the MS-DOS platform. Developed by Harlequin and published by Empire Software, it falls within the Olympiad genre, focusing on a multi-event competition structure. The game presents its events from a first-person perspective, placing the player directly into the action of each athletic discipline.

Players control an athlete competing across six different sports, which encompass a total of twenty one separate events. The game supports participation for up to four players, allowing for competitive matches against friends. Progression can be organized by selecting individual events from over two thousand possible combinations, or by undertaking a structured sequence of events culminating in a twenty six mile marathon. The primary gameplay involves mastering the specific control schemes and timing required for each sport, which include marathon running, diving, show jumping, swimming, cycling, and shooting.

The visual presentation varies between events, with some like the marathon, diving, swimming, and shooting rendered in a two dimensional style. Other events, namely show jumping and cycling, utilize a combination of flat shaded three dimensional environments and sprite based graphics. Each sport contains multiple sub events; for example, diving features one meter and two meter springboard, five meter platform, and medley competitions, with more than forty dives available. Similarly, show jumping offers escalating difficulty levels labeled Gymkhana, National, International, and World, while swimming includes races of various distances and strokes.
