Ian Botham's Cricket is a sports simulation game released in 1992 for the MS-DOS platform. Developed by Gamart and published by Celebrity Software International Ltd., it is based on the sport of cricket and follows the one-day format rules as they were interpreted in 1991. The game is presented from a third-person perspective and allows players to select from eight national teams, including England, Australia, India, and the West Indies.

Players take control of a cricket team, managing either the batting or bowling side during a match. The objective is to outscore the opposing team by accumulating more runs while also taking wickets to limit their score. When batting, the player controls the batsman, aiming to hit the ball and score runs by running between the wickets or hitting boundaries. During fielding, the player can control any fielder nearest to the ball to attempt catches or run-outs, while also managing the bowler's delivery, which involves setting parameters for power and direction.

The game structure revolves around a full one-day cricket match, with players able to compete against either a human opponent or a computer-controlled team, which offers three difficulty levels. Progression is measured through the match's score, with players switching between offensive batting phases and defensive bowling and fielding phases. Key gameplay systems include the tactical placement of fielders, the timing of bat swings for shot selection, and the strategic choice of bowling deliveries to outmaneuver the opposing batsmen.
